would you buy a pc on craigslist?

someone is selling a fairly nice dual core amd system with 19" lcd on craigslist.org, i have email the seller, he says its brand new in the boxes but wants cash. deal sounds good, but paying for something with cash to someone i dont know at all, makes my stomach growl.

was wondering if anyone has bought anything from there and didnt get ripped off.

If you're buying it locally, can't you just test it at his place before you buy it?

No way. There is a huge chance it is stolen, damaged or that he's lying about some of the parts (for example an overclocked CPU). Windows and other software could also be warez with no support and no way to update.

I did but as it turned out the guy lived a mile from my house.
