Would you buy a hardware replacement plan from Newegg?

Link doesn't work, but what's product and the manufacturers warranty? Pretty much all PC hardware has at least 1 year warranty and most motherboards, HDD's, CPU's have 3 year. RAM and some vid cards have lifetime.

Sorry, links fixed.

Basically, the Zen comes with a standard "we'll fix it if we absoloutely have to" warranty. The plan I referr to is a replacement plan. As newegg puts it: "With a Service Net Product Replacement Plan, you can simply replace the product. No hassles. No worries." Has anyone used this? Do they actually honor it or are they just trying to scam you out of $50 (much like Fry's and Best Buy do, it's like pulling teeth trying to get them to actually replace it).

Yeah and if you get a single scratch on the player, they'll blame the problem on the scratch, saying you abused it.
Well that's how best buy works at least, unless you're like a 40yr old dumb woman.

Looks like they use a company called service net who has independent contractors to fix stuff. I don't think it would be worth it unless it covers accidental damage.
