would you buy a fresh from the shelf MOBOs?

I heard that it is always wise to wait for the chipset to mature..
How long do I have to wait for a chipset to mature..(and not obsolete)
What do you think?

It really depends on the board and the manufacture. I bought an Abit KT7A-Raid in the 1st release week and didn't regret it.

Personally, I wait until there a few reviews out there on the board and then hop in if they all give the green light.
