Would you buy a car you didn't like the look of, if you knew it was in excellent condition and good value for money?

I wasn't overwhelmed by my '89 Mazda 323's looks when i bought it, but it was excellent value and i knew it was in vgc :)

Looks have grown on me, and after doing the ~4000-5000km drive over East and back three times in it i couldn't be happier with my decision :)

no, i would have had to get the front suspension reworked as it was too heavy not too :(

cross fingers i've been lucky so far, although i nearly hit quite a few roos and emus in the work ute last time i was down on the farm.

If the Chrysler Le Baron got 50 MPG, was the most reliable car ever built, and I was offered one for a great price....I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I don't drive around to impress people I don't know.

Probably so...a car being reliable is much more important to me than trying to look cool or impress others...and having been stranded in rural Texas miles from anywhere when a crappy car died...I don't want to go through that again. ;)

Though with that said, I paid only $2000 for my current car, and it looks good and is in good condition. :D

sure would. If im on a budget and find a good deal on a reliable car i would get it. I do not care what the car looks like. long as it runs when i need it to run.

That is all I have ever done OP. Since 1992, I have spend no more that 5000 dollars total on buying cars.

Yes, but not as a primary vehicle. I"ve done it a couple times for beaters.

I did exactly that when I bought my Mustang to drive in the winter while the Trans Am is hibernating.

Definately. I don't have much money to spend on a car, so I can't just get that BMW M5 that I want (without dropping out of school, moving in with my parents, and becoming into serious debt that is).
