inside and out, that had 175k miles on it, and would only drive it 2-3 miles a day total, for $5500?

that is too expensive for that high of miles

i have a 1990 with 193K miles and i seriously doubt i could get $1000 for it, more like $500

bwahahahha hell no!

Well, not unless it has a lot of stickers on it. Then maybe I'd offer $6k.

If its in good condition you could easily get $1000 for it.

KBB said $4,930* to me for that car.. but hell if you look hard enough you can get one for a lot less than that.

*assuming 4door, 2.3l 4cyl w/ 5 speed manual. OP did not specify.

what about KBB?

Who cares what they say? I bought a used car (previous model year with 5000 miles) and KBB said it was worth MORE than a brand new '06 of the same model. Bunch of crackheads they are.

I bought a 98 accord ex coupe just last month for 5000. Has 147K miles.

deciding factor- 1 owner with service records

I bet you would be hard pressed to find another 98 accord for 5000....or even 5500 within driving distance from you. even though book value is less

whoah, u guys are really underestimating an accord huh.
there is a reason they have a good resale value.

The price seems normal, not a 'hot deal'. if u can get it to under 5k, should be ok. Plus, looks like its only been highway miles going on long drives cus 175k on a 98 is a lot in 7 years.

theres more to a car than something that drives on 4 wheels. Accord is A GOOD car.
and KBB is used by everyone (except some, i guess). Usually car sells below KBB value.

I own a Honda. And an Acura. But I wouldn't pay $5500 for a car with 175k miles on it.

Cars sell below KBB because KBB prices are higher than market value.
