Would you buy a 1280x960 LCD?

Being 4:3 insteaed of 5:4, it would be a bit wider and a bit less tall than an equally sized 1280x1024 LCD, so it would be better for movies. All games that don't support 1280x1024 (there are quite a few) could run in native resolution. Having less pixels, it would probably be a bit cheaper than an equivelent 1280x1024 (or would it?). Non native 4:3 resultions would also probably look a bit better. Why have no manufacturers made a panel like this?

If I need to use 1280x960 on my native 1280x1024 Samsung 191T LCD,I just run it in centered mode, looks great even with a very small border on top and bottom, most LCD monitors can do centered mode.

1280=1280 it would NOT be wider

for apps that dont support 1280x1024 you uncheck the strech to fix box in the video driver

17 inch and 19 inch lcds are both 1280x1024, but obviously the the 19 inch is wider. A 17 inch (diagonal) 1280x960 would be a bit wider than a 17inch 1280x1024. I know you can run 1280x960 in letterboxed mode, but you are giving up a lot of screen size to do this.
