Been having computer problems for over a month.Just little things to start with.Then installed a burner.Thought it was software conflicting (Nero/CDclone/Easy Cd/Win XP ),improper drivers.Then Norton 2002 started going south....speed disk,then disk doc,then anti virus.So we figured it must be a virus,time to reinstall.This also failed.Just by chance my friend noticed the fan on the power supply had Quit working.A $10 fan and I'm back up and running.Surprised I didn't fry the whole thing

Sometimes it's the simplest of things... and usually something mechanical. Thanks for the story though, it's a good reminder of one other thing to check.

why have Easy Cd when you've already got nero??
