When I was a kid I always felt out of place in the sense that everyone seemed too immature/young for me as peers? I mean while I could in a way relate with them, the things they found entertaining or funny/amusing or what ever topic they would find interesting to them always seemed like yea I'd be on the same level as you, if it were only like 4 years ago...

Basically I always felt like this

Midyears of elementary school, I felt like I was in Middle/'Junior high', in Junior high I felt like in highschool and in highschool I felt like I was in college or 'on my own' per se. Would you guys believe me if I told you this? Which I am...

I would imagine a lot of people feel the same, so I'd believe you. :)

Weird. I'm just the opposite. I find that many of the things that interested my peers long ago are just now catching my attention. I find myself strangely coming around to modes of thought that perplexed me in the years past.

Looks can be decieving... In general I've always been able to find much more in common with people older than me. It's practically linear in that the older they are, the more I can talk about with them and they're seemingly more 'approving' of me than say my peers are, which probably explains so much hate for me on this forum :p Funny how this has happened since my dad when he grew up he skipped two grades and wasn't very happy because all of his friends were two grades back and apparently didn't make friends with people in the grade he was in.

The difference between my dad and I is that he was the oldest child of 3, I was the youngest child of 4...

Hah that totally explains it. I am also the oldest child of 3.

Perhaps your perceived maturity level has been affected by frequent interaction with ze older siblings. </freud>

You mispercieve the situation. The older they are, the more time it takes them to politely edge away from you. ;)
