God I love people who think that odds are affected by previous occurences. I have a guy at work who cannot understand that if a roulette wheel hit a number less than 20 10 times in a row that the odds are not better or worse on the next roll to hit a number >20 than the last 10 times. Intrinsic properties or whatever the technical name is for it. Sigh.

Funny part is he told me that his buddy with a Masters in Electrical Engineering said that indeed there is proof for his way of thinking. How do you get a masters in a technical field and not understand basic probability and statistics.

i was trying to explain this to one of my friends in vegas. he would not listen to me and pointed at the "scoreboard" telling me there "HAS" to be a better chance of black, red, etc.
