Would you be OK with work camps for illegal immigrants?

IF you want to stop illegal immigration, attack it at it's source, improve conditions where they come from instead of exploiting them. US corps are really bad at that at our expense.
are you a dweeb or something....we cannot possibly take the whole world under our arms and make the whole world better....not practicle..

The only holding camps I would be OK with would be the ones to house them while their deportation back to wherever they came from can be secured. The countries they come from should either be sent a bill for their expenses or have their foreign aid reduced to compensate. It is time for the stupid shit our government does to STOP.
I'll go for that. plus there's enough legal immigants to do the manual labor already.

Ah, slavery, yea that's a great idea. In fact I think they already tried that a couple of hundred years ago with great results.

The dumbest idea ever.

1.) Makes sure to create legal, ethical and moral issues which then means the decedents and compatriots of these illegals will have future "injustices" to continue justify their continued illegal presence in this nation.

2.) Does not the solve the issue of illegal immigration at all.

3.) Does not adhere to obeying the laws on the books in regards to the penalties and punishments to entering and residing in the US illegally.Instead it just works to give illegals time to get what they should of done in terms of paper work in order and they don't get deported.

Here's a crazy idea lets do what every other nation in the world does when they catch an illegal and that is deport them ASAP. Mexico does it why can't we???

Maybe.
If it weren't for the drug and gang problems they bring; I probably would. Life in Mexico sucks.
Then they should make the effort to improve "THEIR" nation. Mexico dumping their poor onto the borders of the Untied States of America is not fixing anything or a solution to "THEIR" problems.

They should but the average mexican must realize his country is a hell hole and he cannot do anything about it, so from a personal point it's not surprising so many want to get the hell out. and for most of them there is no legal way to actually get to the US

Thats not true. In fact, in 2006 Mexico represented the largest source of immigrants both legal and illegal. http://www.migrationinformation.org/USfocus/display.cfm?id=679

This still doesn't justify Mexico's continual dumping of their poor onto our door step. We have our own citizens who are in need to deal with first and it is not our obligation or responsibility to clean up their mess or feed their masses uneducated and poor citizens. We are basically being invaded by a group of people who have no loyalty to the US other then to squeeze out money to wire home, use up social services designated for American citizens and commit crimes.

Are you hinting that Mexico, as a country, is conspiring to smuggle its own citizens into our country? When you say "Mexico's continual dumping" it sounds like it. If so please provide supporting evidence.

Our illegal immigration problem has nothing to do with Mexico, and everything to do with the USA and its lack of willingness to enforce its own laws.

Not our responsibility.
Maybe so, but what kind of results is that attitude providing so far? A lot of damage has been done to Mexico, and to working class America through the last 20 years of free trade, e-commerce, and globalization.

Feel as strongly as you like that there is no moral or ethical problem with this; it doesn't change the way things are.

A better solution is just to open the borders, anyone can enter no paperwork needed, with one catch. We charge a fee. They are going to get in anyway, and usually by paying someone else to get them in, so might as well profit from it !

Well they are breaking the law. So it would be a prison camp. No human rights would be violated by holding them because they are prisoners who broke the law.

Sorry Charley, a court would need to convict before you can place humans in prison camps.

At least in America.

100% the right answer!
People that DON'T FOLLOW due process, should be sent to the back of the line!

Refugee status has become a method for offloading a nations overpopulation and political problems on to other nations. If the situation in any country is so dire, UN military intervention should be used asap and that country helped to get on track to become a fit place to exist- instead of dumping aid money on corrupt regimes.
The only people that should be allowed to immigrate to any country in the world are those who apply at the embassy in their country of origin- strict criteria should be met to get citizenship -ie; to read and write the language, as it sorts the wheat from the chaff.
Immigration in the western world is used as a way of curtailing wages growth in the lower classes, stirring up racial hatred, cultural secularism and criminality. The money "saved" in the earnings of the lower class wage earners is lost and then some to the "legal industry".
Foreign aid should only be given to countries which meet political, human and environmental obligations, set by the United Nations- all aid should come through the UN and not the IMF/WB(WHICH SHOULD BE DISBANDED PRONTO! PERSONA NON-GRATA!).
Principles not profits.

I propose much of our problems stems from the fact we have made it our responsibility! Hows that working out? Have you forgotten Clinton's nickname for awhile Peso Bill? Have you forgotten NAFTA? Im not saying its Clinton's fault AT ALL. Im simply pointing out we have taken a friendly approach for well over a decade.

Look where that's gotten us.

Same. It would be almost humourous if it weren't for the fact that these views are, sadly, closely representative of the average American.
Well, they're not actually. But thats OK, I wouldnt not expect you to know anything about us since all you have is TV and movies and your brain.

Maybe life in mexico sucks because of them? Do you think they are just importing their culture here and in effect making the areas they inhabit more like mexico(sucky)?
