Simple question:

If your boss/HR/whoever came up to you tomorrow at work and told you that you had to take a drug test, would you be concerned?
 
Nope...if they've got the money, I've got the time.

Only dopers need to worry about drug tests.

Drug testing has been the norm in the construction industry for nearly 30 years. I don't remember a job where I didn't have to pass a pre-employment piss test, and I was always part of the random test pool. Plus, any sort of accident always sent the entire crew for drug testing, even when only one person was actually at fault.
 
If you fell down at work or got into a accident of some sort, then most companies require an immediate drug test usually the same or next day.

Otherwise, the company may be doing random testing.. did you recently make a joke or make a comment about drugs, if someone overhead it.. then it will lead back to you.
 
I would be concerned about the fact that they wanted me to take a drug test, but not concerned that I would fail.

That's what got me thinking about this. One of my bosses posted on facebook that he got some antibiotics because he's been out sick. I replied with "I <3 drugs!"

Then like 30 seconds later our HR manager commented on his status 😀

Luckily the only drugs I do are prescription. I kind of hope I do get to take one just so I can prove to everyone at work that I'm not on drugs...just nuts 😛

Even sillier than the so called 'random' drug tests are the computer audits so they can see if you've been surfing porn. Lol, I never even go to a news site at work. Like I got time to be on the computer at work anyways.
 
I'm my own boss, so no is my answer. But if I worked for someone, it'd still be 'no'.

If you work anywhere that MIGHT require a drug test, EVER, and you do drugs anyway, you're a dumbass.
 
Well I wouldn't be concerned in the sense that I would pass it. I had to take one upon being hired anyway. However, I would be concerned if it wasn't part of some standard protocol (e.g., random drug tests on random employees) since it would imply I did something that would suggest I needed a test.
