Suppose you littered or something minor and some 3xx lb Paul Blart across the street see's it and calls you out. Your back is faced so he does not have a good physical description of you other than height, clothes and possibly the side of your face as you turned to look. No one else is around but you're in a city with plenty of places to run to within a minute. You see that he's holding a jelly donut so he isn't able to reach for his gun or radio or whatever. Do you jet? :D

Seeing how he can go all police brutality on my ass and his buddies will cover up for him, I'd run, but then he can shoot me on the back and get away with that too...where's third option? :confused:

Police have to stay in pretty good shape and he could probably out run you. That's not fat, that's muscle.

You can't outrun a radio.

Spidey07, the town I grew up in has a cop so fat he has to rock the cruiser to get out. He's literally 400+.

Maybe not all muscle, but even the tubby ones are still in better shape than the average person. He could at least keep up with you enough to radio for backup, if not flat out outrun you.

Fleeing a cop is a whole lot more serious (I believe a misdemeanor in PA) than littering, just own up and deal.

nope, chance isnt worth whata i have to lose. if i were <25 yrs old then yes, ive ran and gotten away from not fat cops. that part of my life is over tho, probably a good thing.

Yep, chances are he'd tell you to knock it off. But since running involves being stupid in the first place, I guess most wouldn't figure that out.

We just had a fat cop here who got fired because he was too fat, but then the court of appeals overturned it because they couldn't fire him for being too fat (5'9", 300 lbs)

I'd run. I've got a ton of respect for cops that solve murders and are there when you actually need em. But if a fat cop tried to bust me for littering I would run. Funny anecdote: I was driving and a cop was coming towards me on the same road. A motorcyclist sped by me and he immediately pulled a U turn and turned on his lights to begin the pursuit. The motorcycle gunned it and sped off HELLA fast and the cop turned off his lights and pulled another U turn to continue on his way.

That happened because a radio is much faster than the douchebags motorcycle.
