Would Win2k run ok on a 300mhz P2?

not very well, but its worth it over a cruddy OS like Win98 so go for it.

Have WinXP installed on my Portege 3020CT. 300mhz, 96mb ram =D. Runs fine enough that I can browse the web, email, chat and watch mpegs... I used to be able to work in Photoshop in Win2K on this machine, wonder if the combo will work with WinXP thrown in the mix.

For what it's worth, my wife loves her new Windows XP Professional. It installed and runs beautifully on her old K6-2 300 with 128mb Ram. She uses this for her at home business with no games.

I've got it running on a Pentium 200 with 48MB RAM. It takes about 10 minutes to boot, and another 1-2 minutes for starting any programs you want to run, but it does its job just fine.

Well, I bought a k6-2 pc from someone at AT. It came in today so i'll be installing 2k on it. I'm glad to here XP will run on it too.
