Would Whoopi Goldberg have been a better Storm in Xmen?

I think an older figure would have been better for storm, whoopi in her prime (Star Trek days) would have been perfect. In any case it's fvcking odd watching a bunch of sex symbols bring the X-Men comics to the big screen, and there was absolutely no sense of hierarchy to the movie whatsoever which seemed pretty odd to me.

If any of you have heard her speak as well, she sounds very regal with a slight African accent. Considering Storm's upbringing, Iman would have fit that character to a T.

Halle Berry has the body for it down to every last detail but white hair. Likely, that and star power got her cast for it. Iman probably would be the next closest.
