I'm not talking about Devry U or U of Phoenix, but schools such as Drexel and Syracuse now offer courses exclusively online.

All depends on the reputation of the program, including the reputation of that online track.

An MBA represents a SIGNIFICANT investment of both time and money, so you don't want one that will be worse than useless after you finish the degree.

I would, but only if there was no distinction made on the degrees between one earned via distance learning and one earned on-campus. Despite the fact that it often takes more motivation and work to achieve, alot of employers look down on internet only degrees.

Exactly why I am hesitent about going this route. However, a couple of things would deter me from attending classes in the evenings AGAIN.

1 - Most schools require either GMAT or GRE (ones around my way anyways). So I am looking elsewhere and the only school I've
found thus far that actually sounds like a legitimate university is ASU.
2 - My job bars me from going to school at night because I am on call and would need to be around. I've taken distance-learning courses before so it's not a problem.

Why? I mean if your current employer wants you to have it for mangement yes. However if you think you'll get into a firm with a mail order degree as your "union card" think again. Most of the top brokerage houses, fortune 100's, and wall street hire entry level MBA's only from top 25 schools.

So yes and no.

I read about that, but I dnot think I see myself working for any large corporations or wall street for that matter. There are plenty of good companies around not listed on Nasdaq.

I'm finished with my undergraduate degree in management information systems. I have 4 years experience and I feel as if I need something that will put me over someone else with a BS degree or the same amount of credential that I have. A graduate degree would probably do that in my opinion. I've been admitted into Drexel for a Master in Information Systems. I think it's redundant to get another IT degree since I already have an undergraduate degree in the same field. Your thoughts?

Well then sounds like a plan. I would probably get on a forum for these programs and talk to some recent graduates first though before investing such large sums of money and two years.
