i just bought:

SMC EZ Connect 802.11b Wireless Access Point

and a USB adaptor for wireless...

my current setup is a 4 port hub, with the cable modem connected to the uplink, and 2 different computers connected to the hub, using DHCP (with 2 different IP addresses). would it work if i connected the wireless access point to the hub, and had another one more computer using the USB adaptor?

You need a NAT solution, connecting the WAP to the hub will not work.

You have few option, the easy one is to put a second NIC in one computer, connect the WAP to the second NIC, and configure for this segment of the Network Software NAT solution (like ICS).

While you using the Wireless computer, the two NICs computer should stay on.
