I am getting a nice new garage with the house I'm buying. It would be nice to be able to get the car off the ground some if i got to work on it. Could get ramps, but I was thinking of doing it this way. Get treated 2 6x6x(12?) timbers and then spike a 2x12 on the top and bottom. That would get me of the ground about 8 inches. I could just slide them out of the way when not in use. Comments

Just looking at lowes and Autozone. My little idea would be expensive. I could buy jack stands(9.99 x2 for 4), floorjack(28.99) and ramps(29.99) cheaper by at least $100. Chalk it up to another dumb idea. So anybody want to by a corsica for $21999 (he he) then I could buy a new car and not need any of this.

Only if it was gold plated, and came with a 10 meelion mile warranty 😛

I saw a 2003 Honda Element listed at S99,999 yesterday. Looking for the link to post here...

Edit: It was a dealer who'd listed at Autotrader dot com. It seems that the price has been now changed to $ 19,999.
The potential buyer just saved 80 K!

Sounds like yer a bit upside down on that thing. For that $$, I'd get a '97or '98 M3 and be spankin it!!
