So back to the full radeon 9200 to the full radeon 9600 would there be any 'wow' factor with the 9600. Newegg has em as cheap as 65$

honestly, i dont think its worth it. i would save up and get at LEAST a 9700/9800 series card

How does the new 'Geforce 5500's' do? The price is right - just wasn't sure about the performance.

the 5500 blows ass. you need to fork over at least $140ish to get a GOOD DX9 card.

If you get a 128 bit Radeon 9600, you'll see a big difference. You'll even be able to run most of the new games. But even the Radeon 9600 XT is getting old. Unless you get a really good deal on the 9600, I would suggest saving up a little more and buying a faster card. Have you considered a used 9700 or 9800?

id say if your coming from a 9200 get a 'double radeon' 9600 as you might say (XT), or at least a 9700 pro
