would this PSU be suitible for my SLI rig which featurers the following

AMD Athlon 64 3000+@2.87ghz skt 754
Epox 8PNA-SLI
1GB DDR400 (2 x 512mb)
Leadtek 7900GT x2
2x Maxtor Maxline 3 250GB SATA2
Pioneer DVD-RW
liteon DVD-ROM
ThermalTake watercooling kit

my main concern is the 19A on the 12V rail...is this enough?

Technically yes, but i'd stay far away based on the issues everyone & their brother seems to have with Antecs these days.

There's the Enhance units teh gurus here rave about (for less than that Antec too), or the more common OCZ GameXtream/FSP FX600-GLN.

I had that psu powering my 2x 7800GTXs for a while and that draws more power than your 2 7900GTs...pretty reliable. The TPII from Antec is one of their better PSUs IMO. If you're on a budget, it's a good buy. But I think this PSU would be better:

Hiper 580W

Pretty cheap for a good brand...pick a color. An OCZ 520W Powerstream/Gamestream would be excellent as well.

I had chosen the Antec 550 watter bacause I have used Antecs in all of my PC's and never had one fail in the past 4 years...I trust them...as they say "always go with what you know".

I just wasn't sure if the specs were suitible for my SLI rig that I'm building

If you already have the PSU then I would keep it. It should be fine. Heck for a while I ran 2 7800gtx cards from an Antec Neopower 480 without any problems.

I haven't purchased it yet..but I am leaning towards it because of my past experience with Antec PSU's

get another gig of RAM and if u cant afford it throw away one of those gt's. The gig of RAM will help more as games get less and less efficient in page file usage and you can always buy another 7900gt when g80 comes out.
