yes but it would be pretty boarderline. I would go for a 400watter just to be safe and so when you upgeade again you won't have to buy another psu

i think i'm gonna go for a thermaltake 420watt from newegg. i don't want to put much money in it but i also want to have enough juice for upgrades later. thanks for the replies

I wouldn't do that.... If price is an issue check out Forton-Source.

How about this guy?

I know its only 350watts but if computer psu's are anything like car amplifiers then the better the quality then less the wattage is a factor? or am i wrong.

did you buy already? go to silentpcreview.com and look at their recommendations. not all are equal, atleast in terms of noise. antecs are still kinda loud even with fan control.

There are a lot of companies that would badge that power supply as a 450W.
I have one in my wife's computer and it is a VERY solid performer.
It is not exactly the same model# the ones on the end are different and it has a standard fan w/controller.
The only thing I don't like about hers is that you have to turn the fan to minimum to be somewhat quiet.
They seem to make that power supply with a few different features.

that's not even close to borderline. even a shuttle 240W can handle an FX-53, x800 xt, 2 raptors, an optical drive, and a sound card (shuttle xpc for example).

everybody now is too power hungry. they have absolutely no idea how much power their system needs. though nvidia recommends a 480W psu for their 6800 ultra's, they also stated that a quality 350W psu as absolutely fine.

like we all know, quality > quantity, thus keeping true to teh fact that a quality 350W psu is better hten a generic 480W one.
