I need to find a better solution for cleaning my couch as it's pretty much a regular routine to try to get cat puke smell out and all I can ever manage to do is replace the smell with that of chemicals and it just makes an overall nasty smell mixture that then works it's way to my clothes if I sit on it and then the smell is transferred to other seats etc... Overall, it's pretty gross.

I need to do a more deep clean. Would a machine like what I linked to work for a couch?

What would be a good product to use with it? It recommends this:

http://www.amazon.ca/BISSELL-60-Ounce-Spring-Breeze-Formula/dp/B00AXSYFLE/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_y

But with something like that also act as a disinfectant? Though I can always manually disinfect the area, as I need to get rid of the solid material anyway and I have a stuff I use for that, the same stuff is used to clean up sewer backups. (Benifect)

I usually let the disinfectant soak in to make sure it gets all of the puke that seemed into the cushion. But the stuff on it's own is not really a cleaning agent so I usually put Resolve after but that leaves a bad smell, as it mixes with the puke.

can't say it won't , but I would think steam would be needed to deep clean . Some sort of steam cleaner . Heat/soap/steam .

Cleaning is removing the dirt. To remove the dirt, you have to remove the water. Suction is by far the most important feature of a deep cleaner. I don't know that machine, but don't be fooled by brushes and such. Get whatever sucks the water out the best.

I was thinking that too actually, need to get right into the cushion. Wondering if just a small wet/dry vac after applying cleaning product and letting it soak would even work better than a dedicated machine.
