im planning on ordering a fairly inexpensive video solution for my new pc until i can get enough for a top of the line card in about a year or so. would a radeon 7500 for about 70 dollars hold out until then? my other option is the radeon 8500le 64mb at newegg for about $99. also, does the 7500 have pixel shader support? which one should i go with?

The Radeon 7500 is a good card. However, for just $29 more the 8500LE packs a much bigger punch that will take you further into the future.

Don't get any Radeon 7500 that is bulk, powered by, or OEM.

Bulks are usually clocked 250/230, powered by are clocked 270/183 and OEM are sometimes clocked 183/183.
As you can see, it would be a better solution to go for a Radeon 8500 or a Geforce 3 Ti 200.

And also, the Radeon 7500 does not have pixel shaders.
