one of my friends is in serious trouble for some sh!t that he did. he's being blamed for more than he's done, but he does deserve some of it. he isnt recieving total justice though. my school administration isn't always the most accepting of people saying things against them. he is a "bad student" and i'm a kid with a good standing in the school environment. i truly believe the school is being unjust. would it be stupid of me to make shirts that say "free _____" and protest the school/town/state actions?

basically, the school would forget that I was a good standing citizen and i'd be thrown in with the "rest of them.."

You need to be more specific here. Your post is too cryptic. What exactly is the offense we're talking about here, that your friend has done to make the school administration so angry?

high school is terrible in that respect. It's always teachers and admins are "ALWAYS RIGHT" and students have no say and are always "WRONG". If it's serious, tell his family to get a lawyer.

be a man, if you believe in somthing and you believe the cost/cause is justifyed then do what you feel is right. High school won't matter after graduation. And I can't see how being labeled in the "bad" crowed can stop you going on after high school if you did you work.

Your message is just too cryptic .. the missing word could be Willy, the name of a convict, or some sort of sex or booze, etc. How can anyone advise you adequately unless the know more?

I think knowing that it's stuff which could lead to him being expelled and/or incarcerated in a detention center is enough.

I know what you're saying Joeyman, but I'm only a junior and I really dont feel like getting on the bad side of the administration/teachers because I want to go to a very prestigious college (i need recommendations, etc).

talk to the teachers you trust and want recommendations from and explain your case. Again if your cause is just they're people too and will understand. actually it'll probably end up looking good on your part in their eyes if you stand up for somthing you believe.

Well, I really don't see how you could be punished for having a shirt that didn't have any profanity or drug references. That being said, if you actually rally the students against an administrative decision the administration is not going to like you. I think you have to seperate the administration and teachers because unless your friend raped a teacher or something, some of the teachers might feel the same as you and might like you more after you did whatever it is your are doing.

I guess you have to decide if you care more about your ass or your friend's. If this guy could get incarcerated and expelled he obviously is accused of something serious and I really doubt whatever you do will sway the administration, so if you do anything it will probably be little more than symbolic.

But really, why can't you go into more detail?

Yeah it would be symbolic and thats it, most likely. Most of the teachers dont like this kid I dont think... he's viewed in the wrong light though. And I cant go into more detail because I've been told not to.

I'd have to agree with you, here, Tim. IMO, he's pretty muched fvcked up his life (prior to this incident). But I think in this case, he's really not to blame. The thing he did is kind of what you'd expect him to do. Though when things like this start to get on the state/government level, they don't really seem to care about the person, more what they did. I don't think there's really much you can do.
