Would this be heartless/rude of me?

For a Christmas gift my girlfriend gave me a Fly Tying Vise and some fly tying tools. I love [fly] fishing but tying flies is something that I'm not too interested in. She doesn't understand that I like to be outdoors rather then sitting indoors wrapping feathers and thread around a hook. Well I'm thinking about selling the vise and tools off and getting something else, is this bad of me? I don't think she would really notice the vise and tools being missing.

Oh almost forgot about the fly tying book she got me...ugh.

Just keep it. Use it once so you can say you made something if she ever asks.

But I could use the money on a new wetsuit. It's obvious I've been pondering this for quite a bit.

I purchased a big lot of flies that should last me a while.

How much is it worth? Unless it's very valuable or takes up a ton of space I'd just hang onto it.

$200+ I'm guessing.

Why don't you ask her?

Because subconsciously I know that selling/regifting is wrong. Well maybe...

That thing better be made of gold if it is worth $200.

Is it a Renzetti vise?

Nah, it's not a Renzetti. Renzetti SW Traveler is about $200 and that's there low-end - yikes! The vise she got me is from Peak.

The $200 value I posted is the vice with the tools. The vise is worth $150 I think.

You don't think catching fish on a lure you made yourself sounds like fun?

Plus if you do much fishing you can save some $ in the long run.

I think it would be bad form to sell it.

UH OH! The jig is up!

Everyone, this is my lovely girlfriend. :)

Let me first start by publicly apologizing to my Boo for even considering selling the gift after she went through some research to get me the vise and tools. I feel even worse after what my she got me on Valentines day:( Here's a Link, scroll to the bottom and read my post.

It's okay though, I have something to make up for it! :D Love you Boo Boo!
