would this be able to cool a tbird adequately?

would a golden gate heatsink with a 80mm to 60mm fan adapter with a 80mm silencer fan be able to cool lets say.....a 1.4ghz tbird? no overclocking will be done.

If you're not overclocking, then even the retail HSF would be fine.

I'm not familiar with the Golden Gate. How much does it cost? You might be able to find a better heatsink for the money that still accepts an 80mm fan.
