Well, I just applied at Costco(Recommended by a friend) and I have also spoke(on phone) to the manager. He told me if anything comes up, he'll call me on Friday(17th). It has past and I haven't received a call from him so I guess he doesn't want to work with me. On the other hand, I really want and need this job to pay for my college tuitions. My question here is, isn't a smart move for me if I go up there and meet the manager in person and tell him that "I want to work with you and the company. Give me a chance and I'll not dissappoint you."

What do you guys think? I need someone's advice as this actually is goign to be my real job. Thanks

i cant imagine it would hurt anything, either he wasnt going to hire you anyway, or got busy and forgot to call

I spoke to the guy on Wednesday and should I go up there today(Sunday) or should I wait till next Wednesday? My friend told me to wait for a week but I really want to work.

Is it a bad idea to call about the state of your application? No.

Is it a bad idea to confront the manager while leaving 30 messages on his voicemail? Yes.

Call once after a reasonable amount of time has passed, about a week or so. If you get the job congrats, if not, simply move on.

as long as u don't bug him too much. it depends though. he might have decided not to hire u, or he might have simply forgotten. wait 2-3 days and then call again.

Nope, I checked on my campus and no dice. So I guess I'll march up there Wednesday and talk to him. Thanks

Do you go to a community college or something? Or are you trying to pay off some $4,000 university fees? If so, get a student loan and stop wasting your time doing a crap minimum wage job.

Costco is an incredible employer. They pay VERY well and provide excellent benefits. They are the anti-Walmart/Sams Club.

congrats.

I love costco (as a place to shop)

the only thing I want is a 10 items or less lane or something. Im sick of having to wait behind the 400lb lady with 3 buggies tied together full of crap
