Looking to do some gaming, surfing, and watching/burning video stuff....at $400 is this appropriate for my needs? Is the reccommended resolution for this monitor good for my intended use. What kind of things should I be looking for in a monitor? Thanks, cb

Yes its a good monitor. If you don't use the speakers. Go with the CML174SX version.
