Would this be a good cooling solution?

So I'm thinking of buying a SK-6 with a 30 CFM fan, but then I see this . Would it be feasible to get a quieter and more powerful 80mm fan in that bracket instead of the 60mm 30cfm delta? That store is just a few towns away so I will go there in person to buy schtuff. I might pick up some quiet papst fans for my case.

I don't think I'd use that on a bare HS. You could put a lower airflow 60mm fan on the HS and then put that on top.

But then again I've never tried it. Maybe just the bracket cooler would work well.

if you want to use a 80mm fan, dont use that bracket. Just put the fna on the SK-6, but turned 45 degrees, and then just lift the fan clips over it. Works great.

Exactly. The clips of the SK6 can accomodate an 80mm if you turn the fan

That fan bracket is for the Zalman flower HSFs. Doesnt quite direct the airflow exactly the way a screwed on fan would.
