Would this be a cool idea for an online game?

We have seen a number of Online Role-Playing Games and Flight Sims.

What could you do with an online Space Game?

Traders, Pirates. Naval Commisions, Trade, Jump Points, AI Aliens Maybe (modules downloaded on to your PC?).

When i used to play Elite, i used to think how cool it would be if this space was filled with real people.

What ideas would you like to see?

Yeah i think that it could make a good game. I always preferred planetarion myself but yet i havent played many of them!

There's a network game for the mac similar to that. It's called Escape Velocity, and it's a great game!

Reminds me of the BBS days of TradeWars!

hhmmm, kinda reminds me of privateer.

Now what if they made a new 3D accelerated privateer with thousands of people online! That would rock!

Privateer was very much in my mid when i posted. It was one of theeee best games i ever played

Star Fleet Command 2's Dynaverse multiplayer model might fit that bill only it sounds like you prefer a 3D engine. Should be ready before xmas.
