Would this article be illegal?

I want to post an article on my site about ripping DVDs on Linux. I do this with most of my DVDs (at least the ones I watch frequently), not to put them on p2p networks but so that I can just put the DVD itself in a box somewhere and store it and then watch it on my comp whenever I need to. Unfortunately, thanks to the great DMCA, this is illegal. My question is, could I get in any trouble for posting an article on that? What if I put a notice saying that it is illegal in the U.S. on it (because there are Canadiens that visit my site and, AFAIK, it is perfectly legal there)?

Does anybody else think that we are in sad sad times that a question like this is even considered?

IANAL, but I think writing an article about it is fine. You might get into trouble if you posted/linked to DeCSS. Although I thought there was a court case recently that said it wasn't illegal.

Well pretty soon we won't be able to buy or rent movies. We will go to the movie store, strip naked(to prevent any cameras) and go into an isolation chamber so only we the viewer can see and hear what is on. If you speak of the movie outside of the chamber you will be fined by the FCC.

Don't give the MPAA any more ideas!
