would the return of the USSR benefit the US?

ok, i know your going to say im crazy, and i know there are MANY disadvantages of it happening but i want to explain why i think that there might be some benifits.

disadvantages
1. No longer the supreme super power of the planet
2. US funds diverted away from civilian projects twords military and increase taxes
3. The people of the soviet union would be fvked due to loss of freedoms
4. A million nukes amed at our shore (but dont they still have a ton of nukes with present paths to head to our major cities ready to launch right now anyways?)

Advantages
1. Better funding to soviet military installations and tighter security, meaning less chances of terrorists getting ahold of bioweapons, chemical weapons, and nukes
2. If the soviet union would come back, they would try to clamp down on their former sattelite republics, that means that the arab world would take its attention away from the US to focus on a freedom fight for the people in those countries.
3. A common enemy, that would help bring Europe and the US closer together and we all can get over our differances
4. Competition is good, may make the US stronger

The US and USSR had the world at the brink of nuclear war a number of times. I would not want to go back to those good old days for any thing.
