Would the new Intel CPU's be upgradable?

I'm currently thinking of building a gaming rig. I currently have the parts, but really am undecided about CPU. I want PCI-E. I see this is coming out for amd, so should i wait? The Intel sockets are new, and with those still being 32-bit, would i lose upgrade ability? Would waiting for a AMD PCI-E motherbaord be better? Will AMD be sticking with Socket 939 for a long time coming?

Skt 939 will be AMD's mainstream for at least a year. I would wait for AMD's PCI-E because A64's tend to be better for gaming.

dual core will also be based on skt 939.

it's here to stay until at least 06.
