Would I need to add any engine mods with it? Like a new manifold, bearings, cam shaft, etc..

I want a turbo on it that can add at least 25-35 Bhps that also can give me more power in 3rd and 4th gear.

My current engine is a 2.4 Vtec 4 cyl. Would adding a turbo to the Honda's stock engine blow a few gaskets ?

You would need to overhaul most of the enginemanagement and suspension components.
The boost would also wear heavily on your stock internals.

Isn't this a repost? Anyway, I wouldn't do it, assuming the install goes well and everything gets changed that has to be, the turbo charger could still mess up your car. E.G if the charger explodes.

LOTS of money, and unless you spend even more rebuilding the bottom end correctly, you can't push much boost (<57-lbs) w/o severly shortening the life of the motor. You may be better off with a small NOS shot.. Or a real performance car.

You should first start with learning a thing or two about engines. It seems that you're really lacking in that department to try something like a turbo system.

engine management as in air intakes, computer, and fuel components?

So it's like... 2-3 grand for the turbo plus another god knows what for the overhaul.

Might as well get a new car.

You're absolutely right. Curiousness did kill the cat. Now please, check your ego in at the front door.

Leave the junkyard turbos to the Civic drivers. ;)

When you buy a turbo kit, the engine management and intake plumbing comes with it, if the honda has less than say 75,000 miles and runs good, I don't see a problem.

So when you go fast, and try to turn, you don't die.

uh OKAY

you'll need to build up your bottom end, + fuel management unless you want to blow your motor in a few days

its' a pointless waste of money

just swap the current engine out with a vtec, and upgrade the management components.

unless you already have a vtec ;)
