Would someone here like to make me a ringtone?

Well, I have used Audacity but I don't think it can what I want done.

Because I don't have a program that can isolate sounds (i.e. strip out or isolate drums, bass, piano, voice, etc.), I'm going to have to ask someone to help me make a ringtone for me.

And no, I haven't tried looking around for a place to download ringtones.

But anyways, yes, if someone happens to have some free time on their hands and wants to help out a fellow ATer, please give me a PM or tell me in this thread so I can give the instructions. 🙂

And umm...it's preferable (although totally NOT necessary) that you're a blink-182 fan. 😀

Thanks in advance.

And for the mods, sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Didn't know where to post this. 😎

"isolate sounds (i.e. strip out or isolate drums, bass, piano, voice, etc.)"
I don't think that can be done with a finished song, I believe what you're thinking of would work if you were making a song or if you had all of the parts of a song Before the song went through the mixing stage.

As an example have you ever seen an engineer work in a studio? (That might sound like a dumb question but you won't learn it watching MTV 😛)
An engineer has control over the volume of the piano track, guitar track etc, using a mixing board, when he mixes a song together he adjust the volume of each track and it's position in the stereo field, for example the piano will be louder because it's the main part of the song and it will be centered, whereas the guitar will be panned to the left. After that's all done (yes, I'm skipping steps because they are irrelevant to the OP's question) it's turned into the final output/file.

Once the song is mixed, as far as I know it's impossible to separate it as far as I know.
It's all to jumbled together frequency wise to separate the piano, guitar etc.

Are you sure it's impossible??? I've seen them do it on CSI 😉

seriously though, it's not possible fully, and what can be done will resort sounding like crap. But OP you might have better lucky stripping down a track than finding a Blink 182 fan

I kid, I kid... I wonder if this technology will ever be avilable, I see crap like this done on crime shows like CSI and go "WOW!" the same way they take a blurry phone cam picture, than zoom in 100x on somebody who was way in the back and have a perfect image of the tattoo on their leg.

Audicity can make a rintone, but getting fancy like you're looking for, don't see anything on the PC or Mac doing even close to what you want, not with acceptable results any how.

Lol, T.V. Is magic 😉 I wonder what that makes a computer though? The wizard?
The only way I can see what the O.P. wanted done being possible, is if the record label made each individual premixed track available.
I doubt that will ever happen, as far as that goes it be easier if you had a friend who could play for example the guitar track and just record it, or do it yourself.
