I've never used them. I want to try one. Just want to light up the inside of my case. I went to svc.com and notice some of the cathodes say "dual inverter" ans some say "tube only". What do I need to simply light up the inside of my case? And what are the different effects between these choices.

As fas as I know, the dual inverter is one light tube and a dual inverter which can run 2 lights. You'd buy a "tube only" to plug in to it for 2 lights.

Tube = just the light. You will need an inverter for the light to work in your case. Most inverters can support 2 lights, but come with only one. That is why they have tubes themselves for sale.

Just a little more info - the inverter is needed to convert 12VDC to high voltage AC power.
