that depends on ur processor if ur proc is slow, it wouldnt make a massive diff, but if it is faster it might

I did the same thing as you. Go from PC133 to DDR266 on the K7S5A. Games it does make a difference but I cant really tell you since when I bought DDR I also bought a Radeon 8500LE 128meg as well when I had been running Xpert 98 8meg AGP. Now I do a lot of DIVX encoding and man oh man did it make a difference. Now I had been running 128 megs PC133 then 256 DDR but I gained a lot more frams per second due to the faster RAM. I think I also gained some stability when going to DDR as well. My K7s5A had been flaky using PC133 and is now rock stable. Now truth be told I dont think that DDR ram is worth the high dollar it is right now, but I am glad that I can now upgrade to a better chipset like Nforce2 and dont have to get new RAM. Just another reason to buy K7S5A!

My friend has the same mobo with a xp 1500. When he upgraded from 256 pc133 to 256 ddr he didn't see much difference. The only real hard gaming he does is warcraft 3 so I'm not sure what to tell you. He says he didn't notice ANY difference although theoretically there should be a pretty decent gain.

Not only is DDR266 a good idea for your particular CPU, but your upgrade path is quite excellent. In the future, you should be able to just drop in your stick of DDR266 into, say, a Hammer or Prescott motherboard. Since it doesn't seem like you upgrade often, purchasing DDR now is a good idea.
