would RAM pc2 5300 work in PC4200 DDR2?

would this Crucial 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Notebook Memory work in my toshiba laptop? my R200 laptop only list PC3200 DDR2
400MHz SDRAM or PC4200 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM memory as being compatible.

Well it should work fine. As long as laptops are the same as desktops. It will just downclock the ram to your max supported speed is all. Although you are talking about DDR2. I'm still running standard DDR. But I would assume its the same ballgame.
