Just curious. When I was young and before I ever saw any porn I just assumed all the women in it would be unattractive. I just couldn't understand why an attractive woman would do porn. After all, if she was attractive she could be choosy about her men and wouldn't have to do porn to get any sex. However, for an unattractive woman, porn might be the only way for her to get any sex.

And I was totally surprised that most women in porn are incredibly attractive.

Of course, I was naive back then and now realize that women don't really do porn to get sex but rather money. Now it all makes sense. But it still begs the question: What would porn be like if the assumptions made in my youth were correct? Would porn be as popular today if it only featured unattractive women? Hmmmm....

the girls in porn arent really pretty
they are fake pretty
fake boobs
fake hair
tons of makeup

Haha! Provocative question, but a good one nonetheless. I think the obvious answer is no for the following reasons:

She will start to look like the average woman.
It's easy to find a woman who isn't exactly attractive.
It would no longer be a fantasy since it is something you can obtain realistically since not exactly attractive women are not hard to find or get and to do. . . . :Q

Hence, it really wouldn't sell that much. Those whiney men will be crying foul.

Porn is a product (or service, depending on how you look at it) governed by the laws of market economics. If there's competition in the industry, then there's incentive to give the customer what he or she wants. If people want to see attractive people in porn, the supply side that finds a way to satisfy that demand will gain market advantage.

Of course, this means that if Microsoft monopolized the porn industry as well, we'd probably be seeing some pretty damn ugly people doing porn. (Then again, given that "at Microsoft, we stand in awe of your potential", who can say...)

Depends what you're looking for in the film. Are you looking for a cute girl giving filetio or a REAL close up shot of some nice "action". Of course personally I wouldnt borrow any film from my friends if the girls were really unattractive. So It would be less in my case. But I found out about pron really late.. I was 16.. and mostly I used my sisters teen magazines even though I could buy mags or videos :( *hangs head* well too much info there. LOL but its useful nonetheless I guess. Lately its my imgination thats doing the work, WATCHING too much desentisizes you so its good to "Think" about it mostly so you get the same comfort as when you were younger.

I agree... but considering you can make the average woman look even better, plastic surgery etc to a certain extent. I dont think it would have half the market it does now...
