Would my vacuum bottle break if I put hot/cold stuff right away?

I've got a vacuum insulated bottle with a glass vessel. The instruction says I have to pre-warm and pre-cool before putting the actual drink inside to prevent damage. Wow what a pain in the ass.

Will it break if I put hot or cold drink right away?
