Would my CPU be a big bottleneck for a 6600 GT?

It would depend on the game. Im inclined to say yes it will. Knowing you have an A7NX I know you probably dont have the FSB higher than 430 so by that rite I would say to look at upgrading your CPU/mobo before the vcard just yet.

No, go for it. I vote for the leadtek version, people say that they've gotten some good overclocks out of them.

edit: better yet, yowza!

Err, your link isnt working..what are your system specs? I have a leadtek 6600GT, it's running at 550/1025 from the default of 500/1000. I haven't even tried going higher yet, but it's be great.

You will see an improvement over your 9700Pro, but not a massive one. I think the upgrade from a 6600GTfrom a 9700 Pro isn't worth it. I'd wait until the next generation cards come out, and either get a 6800GT cheap, or whatever the next main stream card is.

I wouldn't upgrade. There wont be a huge benefit (maybe 25%) going from the 9700Pre to the 6600GT(AGP). The PCI-E 6600GT runs the memory a little faster than the AGP version.

Wait until the next gen cards come out, and get a 6800GT once the price drops.
