Would memory timings fix this?

I over-clocked my A64 Newcastle 3000+ from 2.0 to 2.3 ghz. (230mhz FSB) I then got a 0x0000007F error code:

The above STOP error means a trap occurred in kernel mode and the trap is either one the kernel is not allowed to have or is always fatal. The most common causes of a STOP 0x7F are:
? Low-level hardware corruption, such as corrupt memory (RAM)

I've got SpecTek 2x256mb PC2700 memory running at 2.5-3-3-7

Would changing the timing fix this problem?

Just picked up a stick of Kingston PC3200 512mb. Hopefully that will fix some issues. Now it'll be running a 1 to 1 FSB to Memory bus ratio (right?)

Hopefully that will fix my problems.
