Would love to be able to search private messages?

Hi,

I would really like to be able to search private messages. I do lots of fs/t deals, and if there's need to track one down, it's almost impossible without the username...

Any way to implement this? Thanks, Dave

Dave, I've said this before and I'll say it again; Traders who keep their business records in private messages are flirting with disaster. If this forum ever crashes, you're potentially hosed. 😉

I always require those who deal with me to send me an email, once an agreement is made. 🙂

I'm afriad one buyer didn't do this, even tho he sent me $..I'm trying to follow up with a search.

I turned Private Message off. Its e-mail only now. Using PM made tracking conversations difficult.

sun818 works fine for most of the other 40,000 users its pretty damn simple to use. I agree searching them would be nice but its not going to happen for a bit.

I agree Zuni. PM is easy to use.

The issue really is with uncommunicative users. One will say "I'll take one." Take one what? I conduct a lot of sales and trades on this board, so it can be difficult dealing with ten different people at once. PM is fine for a tracking conversations you can remember, but e-mail works best for me.

Sorry, that hit a funny spot with me. I just started in the FS/FT forum and got a couple of those and remember laughing to myself trying to figure out what item they were referring to. Luckily I only had a couple going on so it made it easy but it still made me laugh.
