Would live as an immortal if it worked this way?

You would live from 20 until 50, at which point you would be transported to a different period in time to live from 20 to 50 again. Repeat forever. You are "born" into a mean status family/situation. You remember every previous life.

Your family would be of average status/income or if no family then of an average situation. Not bad, but not extravagant.

At the first second of your 50 birthday, you are teleports to a new age and location, where you have an existing (average) history. Nothing carries over but your memories. You may not necessarily be the same race, sex, etc.

sure, why not. learn a bunch of languages/skills to be used to make money easily each "lifetime". since the knowledge isn't lost in each "leap" the possibilities are endless. say you go from now back 100 years, you would have indepth knowledge of many things that could change the course of history and bring technologies to the table sooner. or you could just join the army and not really worry about much since you are immortal. collect a paycheck, see distant lands, meet different cultures...and kill them.

How much of a time period span are we talking about? Would be dangerous to be a 21st century person and reincarnate into a 7th century BC peasant. Or a black man in 1800.

-1 billion BC to +1 billion AD, you may assume that the environment/planet/moon/space station is habitable where/when you are reincarnated.

I am immortal. I have inside me blood of kings.
I have no rival. No man can be my equal.
Take me to the future of your world.

If you have Memories, you can make the Transfer.

Who says you even make it to 50? The average life span for a lot of folks way back in the day was like 30 or 40. What happens if you get murdered or something? Automatically transfer to the next time period? Or knives and bullets just dont penetrate you...hmm...

Technically, I think that's a span of two years about a billion years in the future. :p

But if I was reincarnated at +1 billion BC, I couldn't even be multicellular. D: Did you mean "million"?

How is that immortality when I can pretty much just imagine I had lived a prior life now? Does that mean I'm immortal already?

One life is enough for me. Let me die and rest in peace.

Kill me today and I will die a happy man.

I would say make it 25, male body grows till 21, and female 25, that way the human specimen will be fully grown. 50 is a bit too old too, i would say 40 is better. so 15 years, 25 - 40.

Yes, I'd take that offer.
There is no such thing as "eternity" eventually the universe will extinguish, and most likely something new will come after, but, thered likely be no way to survive between universal extermination and rebirth.

Also, if I can remember all the stuff from previous lifes ... I would essentially be in a 20 year old body, but have a body of knowledge of many lifetimes ... I would essentially be able to live very well in just about every "life" where there's any element of upward mobility ...

I think starting over would start to become extremely frustrating, and knowing that this will go on for an insane amount of time would drive anyone insane. No amount of knowledge would help, and maybe it would make things worse

Ehh, I am sure the first 10000 years of it would be fun ... afterwards, I'm sure it would get old, but I would still prefer that to living once and then dying.

So I would experience lifetimes where the only existent forms of contact are protozoa or empty space dust?

no thanks.
