Hello,
I'm up to buying a new laptop.
My current one is a HP 2510p and is about to die
Although i replaced the Hard Drive a year or so ago with a 1.8" SSD, it's just getting to slow, even for internet browsing.
My search for a new laptop ended up with the Toshiba R830-1EE
Core i7-2640M(2.80) W7PRO-64 / 8GB/256 (256 GB SSD)/33,8 cm(13.3")/DVD/Intel HD Graphics 3000
I use my laptop for work, and I need to take it a lot with me when I'm out to customers. So it needs to be light weighted.
I love the Ultrabooks like Asus Zenbooks etc. but I need to be able to dock it and have a professional series of windows.
When i come back home/office I want to move or shift just one connector 'et voila'.
This gives me also the possibility to use 2 screens witout connecting cables. (...and this way i can live with the 1366*768 resolution)
The toshiba R830 looks great, but I'm wondering if i might be buying a laptop that is already old.
When i look for reviews they are all from the first half of 2011.
So that's my question, whould you guys still buy it or wait?
Does anyone have a clue what specs and when the successor of the r830 is planned? Mabybe I'm missing a better laptop suited for my needs?
Thank you for thinking with me!
