Hey, All,
Well, I see there are 12 pages of the Official Asus M2N-E thread, and I simply don't have time to read thru all that. (I'm recovering from a back injury and can't sit at the computer for more than about a half hour at a time.)
Anywho, I'm selecting parts for a build (for a friend) and was gonna choose the M2N-E based on what is seems to offer (on paper, anyway). Then I see the "official" thread on this board, glance thru a couple dozen very-negative postings, and figure I better be sure before I plunk my money down. :Q
If the right RAM is used (e.g., 1.9V), and there's no overclocking involved (RAM or CPU), is this board okay yet? Or are there still other bugs that Asus hasn't worked out yet? And will it likely require a BIOS update outta the box, and if so, what's the latest?
Can this board be made to work without going thru a nervous breakdown, or should I look for a different board? (The CPU will be an retail Athlon 64 3500+, Socket AM2, incidentally.)
TIA for any advice.
