Would like some input on what would be better.

My bro has a 800mhz duron with 333mhz DDR ram on a VIA kt400 mobo. This setup is very fast. The cpu was not that great till it was put on the DDR mobo cause it was on a SDRAM at first. Sence then the pc has veen plenty of speed for most modern games and avg computer stuff. He just bought a use computer cause he needed another one and wanted to know what would be the best to use for gaming. The other computer has a intel 1.2ghz Celeron, 256megs of SDRAM on a i810 chipset. While I know the cpu is better I also know that the ram sucks! I seen a huge differ when the 800mhz duron was place on DDR would my bro be taking a huge performance hit by going with the 1.2cel,sdram setup compare to the 800duron,ddr?

the duron is enough speed to run current games?????

anyway, i think the two setups will result in very similar performance

It is fast with games as long as it's paird with a decent video card. It gets decent fps on most fps games that's been played on it "no unreal 2 yet i doubt it would do good with it no matter the vid card." Both systems will be tested out thoe. I wonder if the cel could be even better on a ddr bus thoe. I know both the duron and the cel does not need anything really more then sdram 100mhz but i'm just shock at the performace boast ddr made with that old duron.
