Would like recommendation for free data recovery software

Hey, All,

For the first time ever (that I can remember, anyway), I accidentally deleted some important files from my hard drive yesterday. It won't be the end of the world if I lose them, but I'd like to get them back if it can be done on the cheap.

I installed EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard (found via a Google search), and when I ran its scan feature, it found the files I want to recover. Only problem is they'll only let you recover 1 GB for free -- you have to pay $69 for the full version in order to recover any more than that. I have about 15GB to recover, so that's obviously not going to work.

Anyone know of some good, free data recovery software that'll enable me to get that 15GB of files back? I only need to use this once -- it won't be an ongoing need.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Freeware can recover your data, but you cannot be assured of system safety. I would recommend you to use paid tools as the amount would be refunded if in case data is not restored.

RecoveryFix for Windows is equipped with sophisticated algorithms that ensure quick recovery of files and folders from a deleted, corrupt or inaccessible Windows partition. It fully supports EIDE, IDE, SCSI, SATA, PATA, PEN and USB drives for data recovery.
