Would Kingston HyperX PC3200 ram play well with my Corsair Value?

I have 2 sticks of 512mb Corsair Value in my DFI Nf4 board atm. I just saw some really cheap Kingston HyperX ram pc3200 to add to it.. would there be conflicts you think? I don't OC or anything, i just need the extra memory. =]

Just my opinion, but populating 3 dimms (or more) AND using HyperX AND an Ultra-D = potential issues galore.

A LOT of mobos seem to have issues with HyperX RAM and the Ultra D is KNOWN to be "picky" about RAM.

Based on the above, I'd pass on the HyperX unless you can fairly easily return it for full refund.

Just my $0.02.

Fair advice. I find it hard to pass up ncix's deal on them tho (29.00 for 512mb after mail-in rebate), but yea there's a fair chance for issues there..

3 DIMMs? Dont bother is the general rule. it may well work, but you will have to run at lower timings, 2T command rate and DDR333 probably. If you want more ram, get a 2 gig kit.

Are you doing video editing or some other app. which demands lots of RAM? I don't know if you'd see much of a difference going from 1GB to 1.5GBs. I recently switched out 1 GB to 2 GBs and it's faster, but not as much as I thought it'd be in gaming, other general progies, etc.

yea I do heavy duty stuff in photoshop everyday, so it's painful with 1gb sometimes. starting to drive me crazy actually, haha. I use to game more so 1gb was fine then.

i'll buy a 2x1gb instead of mixing stuff together.
