Would it work or not?

Ok, i have a Panasonic dvd home theater, model SA-PT650 that has no speaker or sub woofer. Im thinking about buying some speakers and a sub woofer for the receiver. The problem is that this receiver does not have a sub out RCA line, it only has a wire sub woofer out.

my question is...if i buy a speaker wire to RCA adapter can this sub woofer be connected to my receiver?

Thank you.

Speaker level input on sub.

No adapter needed. You really wouldn't want to send speaker level signal into a line level input anyway.

No worries. It can be really easy to overlook obvious things with AV stuff.

It should work. Might want to read the manual for the sub and HTiB receiver to check the impedance values to make sure you aren't overloading the amps when/if you are really cranking the system.
