people park in front of my house all the time but i live on one of the busiest streets in my town. its bothersome to me just because of my laziness and because for me to then park i end up 8-9 houses down or even around the block. which then makes me feel bad cause im parking in front of someone elses house.

the ones that bother me (and that my mom has called cops on) are people who park with their car halfway in our driveway. its hard enuff getting in and out of my driveway with people speeding down my street out of the highschool and such. it makes it even worse when a hummers there blocking your view and part of your driveway.

I live in an area where the only thing between me and my neighbor's houses is our driveways.

One neighbor's girlfriend always parks in front of my house, but I don't care because I have enough room in my driveway for me and my 3 roomates to park, and their a fire hydrant in front of their house. I'd rather have her park in front of my house and know the fire department can access that safely than bitch about something that doesn't affect me.

At my parent's house, however, the front yard is about 150 feet wide... so there's no reason for a neighbor to park in front of their house, and it was good because my brother and I used to park there because my parents used the drive/garage.

It's annoying to have someone else's car in front of your house ALL THE TIME, but it's not something that's worth getting upset over.

Clarify infront. On your driveway or on the curb?

If it is your driveway, it' not stupid to get pissed over. It is YOUR house, and only your stuff should be on it. My neighbours are mofos that park literally ON our frontyard. We don't have a driveway, so those !@#$!@s park right up on our walkway and crack our concrete tiles. This is cause they are trying to fit 3 cars on a 1 car driveway. So don't hesitate to tell them to F off your property.

Contractors park in my driveway all of the time while working on my neighboring properties and I don't even get as upset about it as OP in the other thread did. I live in adjoining housing and all of our driveways are behind us. I don't own the sidewalk, have no front lawn and only use my front door to recieve guests or check the mail. What happens in front of my house is even more irrelevant to me.

I want to have a nice neighborhood (I want contractors to be able to work easily and raise my property value) and I want to have very friendly neighbors. That means I help them and they help me. Sometimes I come home and find out that the one landlord who needed 3 lawns mowed on my street will have mine mowed too just because I'm such a great guy.

<shrug> I don't see what the big deal is unless you need that spot or they're blocking you in.

I bet the OP wouldn't mind if the Miss Hawaiin Tropics charter bus parked in his living room.

🏆🏆 I realize I am very late to this conversation. Yes it bothers people. But only if they BLOCK YOUR DRIVEWAY. It is amazing to most people that visitors to a residential housing area are not aware they should not block the neighbors driveway. Deliveries to the neighbor excluded because they are in and out in few minutes. I am amazed that many people do not know common sense things like the driveway is NOT part of the street. It is private property. Likewise the sidewalk is public. Not private. When it comes right down to it.....it is all a matter of mutual respect. Parking in front of your property to visit the neighbors for a short time is not a problem. If they leave the vehicle there for an extended time, then either the visitor or the neighbor should seek your consent. One time the neighbors friends left a HUGE TRAVEL TRAILER at front on the street. That is total disrespect and even illegal after a few hours. There should be a conversation with the neighbor about it. If that does not work, then it is time to call PARKING ENFORCEMENT agency in town. 😳😳😳🧐🧐🧐. We are neighbors. We have to get along. This is where a Neighborhood Watch association can help to keep the peace by having some basic rules and mutual protection in place at the start of the residency. ???

In NYC, unless it says "No Parking Anytime", you can park anywhere on the the side of the street.

Why did you have to do thread necro? I should have looked at the second to last posting date before posting.
